| Comments: | The Fund was established in 1999, and on May 1, 1999, was granted an exemption from Income Tax. In June 1999 the Fund applied for recognition as a public institution under Section 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance (this would give donors a tax benefit for their donations); this application is currently being considered by the tax authorities. When the required approval is granted, the Fund will begin an extensive fundraising effort. |
